With wide eyes and hands covering her mouth, Rafi hurriedly left the bedroom where she found Richard and Maya sleeping.

“What’s wrong?” her husband immediately asked after seeing her shocked expression.

“Tulog yun dalawa.”

“Wake them up. Baka malate sila sa event.”

She was covering her eyes now, trying to forget what she saw.

“Huy anong nangyayari sa’yo? Gisingin mo na sila.”  Her husband repeated.

“Eh their clothes are scattered all over the room.” nakapikit pa rin si Rafi trying to shake the image off her mind.

“May nakita ka???” her husband’s eyes suddenly grew wide.

“Hindi! Wala! Nakakumot sila. They’re sound asleep.”

“Wala ka naman palang nakita. You’re so OA hon.”

“Anong OA. Pano ko silang gigisingin eh baka mabigla at alisin rin bigla yun blanket. Naku si Ricky talaga sobrang ano! Asar!” Pikon na si Rafi.

Her husband was laughing at her.

“Gisingin mo na kasi. He’s your bestfriend at di ba you’ve seen him na rin naman without clothes before.”

“Excuse me! We were babies then. Naku talaga etong si Lim binigyan pa ako ng sakit sa ulo. Ikaw na lang kaya hon ang gumising sa kaniya.” she suggested.

“Mas lalong hindi pwede. Baka si Maya ang magising at siya yun masilipan ko. Baka karatehin pa ako ng asawa nya.”

Rafi was really worried and pissed especially at her bestfriend.

“Hey, hayaan mo na. Let them rest. mukhang namiss nila yun isa’t isa kaya siguro ganun. Di ba Maya had several regional flights tapos si Ricky naman busy sa new Clark hangar. Just let them rest. Wag ka nang magworry. Halika sit beside me.” Her husband tried to calm her. He was actually amused at his wife.

As they were now seated on the sofa, Rafi discovered several empty boxes of her new product which is yet to be introduced in her online store, her miniature choco-liquor cakes, the smaller version of her hit ‘choco liquor cakes’. “Hala kinain nilang lahat yan?” she went near the table and examined the empty boxes.

“I bet they did. Wow nakaubos sila ng 12 pieces. Kaya naman nakatulog sila.”  her husband commented then added, “Dinagdagan o pa naman ng wine yun mixture mo.”

“Dinagdagan mo? Naku matapang na yun nilagay ko. Im sure hindi yan magigising agad.”

“Yup I added. Akala ko hindi mo pa nilagyan. Lagot! Matapang masyado yun mixture nyan.”

“Chard kasalanan mo to!”

“Ha?!? Why me? Hindi naman ako ang nagbigay sa kanila ng maraming miniature Choco Liquor cakes.”

“Hindi rin naman ako!”

“Who placed it kasi sa fridge? Unlabeled pa naman so probably di nila alam that it has alcohol in it.”

“I didn’t give those chocolates to them. Nakalagay lang yun sa fridge kasi nga ipapakita ko yun boxes kay Maya para hingan siya ng suggestion sa design. Naku pinakialaman na naman malamang ni Ricky. Matakaw din yan sa chocolates eh. Lagot paano na yan. I’m sure magagalit si supladong singkit kapag sober na yan. Paano ba to?”

“Huy stop calling your besfriend that. Mabuti na lang at mabait siya. Hindi napipikon sa’yo.”

“Yan mabait? Oo kapag natutulog.”

“Rafi!”

“What? Totoo naman hon. Bully kaya yan. Pero seriously, anong gagawin natin? Chard’s speech will be in 3 hours. He can’t deliver it in that state. Baka hindi yan magising in time for his speech. Naku lagot talaga ako nito.”

Rafi is now pacing back and forth at the living room of  the one bedroom suite where her bestfriends, Richard Lim  and his wife Maya dela Rosa Lim, were staying. She and her husband, the other Richard, left Richard and Maya earlier to attend to some visitors. Since the couple just arrived from their flight, Rafi decided to let them rest first. She didn’t realize that they would consume the choco liquor cakes she left inside the fridge.

Earlier….

“Boring naman dito Ricky. Dapat talaga isinama natin yun mga bata.”

“No! Hindi pwede! Atsaka it’s my turn para masolo kita.” he grinned naughtily.

“Oy Mr. Lim pumunta tayo dito para tumulong sa foundation na sinusuportahan ni Rafi at Richard. Ready na ba yun speech mo?” she asked while they were seated at the sofa.

“I can do an impromptu speech later sweetheart. I don’t need to prepare.”

“Sus ang hangin mo sweetheart!”

“No! Just confident!.” he countered. Then he added, “Sweetheart gutom na ako. Wala ka bang dinalang makakain dyan?”

“Wala Ricky eh. Ako rin gutom na rin. Dumeretso na kasi ako ng airport after kong magbihis sa bahay. Di na ako nakakain ng lunch.”

“Me too. I drove straight to the airport from Clark. I haven’t had the chance to eat anymore. Ayaw ko kasing mauna ka sa airport tapos wala pa ako.”

“Awww and sweet mo talaga Ricky.”

“Of course!” he smiled.

“Pero… gutom pa rin tayo!”

“What if bumaba ako. I saw a restaurant sa ground floor. Bibili na lang ako then we’ll eat here.” he suggested.

“Naku Ricky hindi pwede kasi di ba suprise dapat yun guesting mo sa event mamaya. Malalaman nila na nandito ka.”

“Pero pa’no yan? Rafi isn’t answering my calls. Gutom na talaga ako.”  Then his stomach rumbled.

“Naku gutom na talaga ang asawa ko. Wait lang ha. Check ko yun ref dito kung may laman.”

Maya proceeded to check on the contents of the fridge inside their suite.

“Ricky may mga pagkain dito!” she happily announced. Ricky immediately followed her to check.

They found several food inside, – salad, bread, cookies, juice, milk, cans of soda and cans of beer, ice cream and chocolate cake.

“Ayan! Solve na ang problema natin. Anong masarap dito? Yun salad kaya?”

“Don’t eat that Maya. It has mayonnaise. Baka maupset yun tyan natin later sa event. Let’s just eat these chocolate cakes. Eto lang naman ang makakabusog sa mga choices dito.”

“Buti pa. Pero mabibitin tayo nito. Ang liliit Ricky!”

“Okay lang. We can have many. Marami naman eh.”

So they happily devoured the minituare cakes.”

Maya woke up when she heard her cellphone ringing.

She reached for it then automatically answered. “Hello.”

“Mommy! How was the event? Kumusta yun speech ni Daddy? Kanina pa kami tumatawag but di naman kayo sumasagot. Tapos na po ba? How’s Tita Rafi and Tito Chard?” it was Nikki.

“Teka teka lang Nikki… nakatulog kami ng daddy mo. Anong oras na ba?” She checked the time on her cellphone and panicked to discover that it was already 8pm. “Naku Nikki tatawag na lang ako mamaya.”

“Okay mommy.”

As soon as Nikki ended the call, Maya woke Ricky up.  He was still sound asleep. “Sweetheart! Gising na! Ricky naman eh. Ricky!”

“Mamaya na sweetheart. Masakit pa ang ulo ko. Tulog pa tayo.” He mumbled.

“Ricky alas otso na!”

“What?” He abruptly stood forgetting that he was naked underneath the sheets.

Maya blushed upon seeing her husband. “Magbihis ka nga! Naku nakakahiya kina Rafi! Ikaw kasi eh!”

“Bakit ako lang. Kasali ka rin naman ah! Atsaka bakit di mo ako ginising?” He blamed her now.

“Kakagising ko rin lang. Tumawag si Nikki kaya ako nagising. Naku Ricky bakit kasi napasarap yun tulog natin. Di natin namalayan yun oras. ” She was really worried and embarrassed as well kasi di nila napuntahan yun event ni Rafi at Richard. They were the special surprise guests pa naman.

Seeing her frantic, Ricky reached for his wife and engulfed her in an embrace. He didn’t want to see her worried. “Shhh… let me handle this. Wag ka nang mag-alala. I’ll just call Rafi. I’m sure she’ll understand. Kasalanan ko rin naman eh.” He took the blame, not wanting to worry his wife some more.

After putting on his clothes, he immediately fished for his phone and dialled Rafi’s number.

Before he was even able to say hello….

“O ano Richard Lim? How was your honeymoon with Maya?” Rafi was giggling at the other end.

“Rafi, ano eh, ano… I’m really sorry. Napasarap yun tulog namin ni Maya. We were so tired kasi…”

“Naku wag ka nang magexplain Ricky. I understand. Si hubby na lang yun kumanta kanina. Pero i pledged donation from LAS ha! Alam kasi ng officers ng foundation na pupunta ka. I just told them that something came up kaya di kayo natuloy.”

“Okay lang Rafi. kahit magkano pa yan, I will really donate. Sorry talaga ha!”

“No worries bff pero next time if you plan on having some sweet time with Maya, pakilock naman ng door nyo. God Richard nagkalat yun damit nyo sa room! Mabuti na lang at ako lang yun pumasok at mabuti na rin lang at nakakumot kayo. Grabe ka talaga.”

“What? Pumasok ka!”

“Of course! Kasi po I was supposed to remind you of the event. Kala ko natulog lang kayo. Di ko naman alam na….”

“Okay na Rafi. wag mo nang sabihin.”

“Oh you’re so funny Ricky. Nahiya ka pa talaga! O sige na ipagpatuloy nyo na yang bonding nyo ni Maya. Enjoy! At gawin mong ninong si Chard ko ha!”

“Rafi!”

The couple were now on their way to the airport for their flight back home.

Rafi and Richard were with them.

“Rafi, Chard sorry talaga kahapon ha! Naku nakakahiya naman masyado. Pumunta kami dito para lang matulog.” It was Maya. She haven’t gotten over what happened yesterday. Hiyang hiya pa rin siya.

“Oh it’s okay Maya. You don’t have to say sorry. Actually masaya nga ako sa nangyari kasi it proved na sobrang effective yun cakes ko. I can’t wait to launch it. Punta kayo sa launching ha! Bibigyan ko kayo ng maraming choco liquor cakes.”

“Oo naman Rafi. Pupunta kami at isasama na namin yun mga bata. I’m sure magugustuhan nila yun cakes.”

“Uhmmm Maya actually hindi pang kids yun choco liquor cakes ko.”

“Ha? Hindi pwede kina Sky etong mga chocolates na pinadala nyo sa amin? Bakit” Maya asked Rafi. She didn’t know that aside from the liquor content it has, the chocolate cakes were really designed for ‘you and me time’ of couples. Yes they were aphrodisiacs.

Rafi found it hard to explain it to Maya esp in front of her husband and bestfriend. Maloko pa naman yun dalawa at baka mahiya si Maya so Ricky took charge.

“Sweetheart hindi pwede sa mga bata kasi for couples lang yun cakes ni Rafi. Para sa ‘you and me time’…Yun ang reason why you can’t get enough of me kahapon at sinunggaban mo ako…” he was laughing as he teased his wife.

“Oy Ricky hindi ah! Ikaw kaya dyan ang ano…”

“Ang ano?” he further teased her.

“Tumigil ka nga. Nakakahiya kina Rafi.”

“Okay lang yan Maya. Si Rafi din naman ganyan kapag nakakakain ng ginagawa nyang cakes. So pareho lang kayo and that makes me and Ricky here, very lucky men. Right bro?”

“Absolutely!”

Then the husbands each engulfed their respective giddy wives in a tight embrace while kissing the top of their heads.

A/N. Sorry I can’t do updates of the other stories yet. Medyo busy sa family emergency.  Naisipan ko lang gawan ng short story to kasi yun meal sa hospital may specific instruction na ‘no chocolates’ kaya ayan dumapo ng slight si inspiration c/o the chocolates.  Just making things lighter kasi it’s my father’s  22nd day in the hospital.
